Counter Sales (MT-64100) Position Overview
The Counter Sales staff, working in a fun, relaxed automotive retail environment, will provide high quality customer service by assessing customer needs and recommending high-quality products and services offered by Market Tire (1976) Ltd.
Counter Sales Position by Areas of Responsibility
Sales and Customer Service
Duties Include:
- Greeting and welcoming walk-in, phone-in, e-mail-in customers
- Assessing customers’ needs to recommend appropriate products
- Estimating pricing for products and services
- Ordering products and estimating timelines for customers
- Booking services for customers
- Entering sales into Costar software
- Receiving payments
- Following up with customers who have not yet ordered product or schedule services
Ongoing Activities
Duties Include:
- Developing an in-depth product and sales knowledge
- Maintaining appearance of front counter, showroom and customer washrooms
- Shuttling customers to and from the store
- Picking up products from suppliers
- Maintain and count inventory
Working Conditions
- Full-time position of 40 hours per week
- Regular business hours (Monday to Friday)

Job Specification
- Grade 12 Diploma or GED
- Combination of sales training and experience
- Working knowledge of the tire / automotive industry
- Open friendly disposition with a demonstrated ability to work well and collaborate with others
- Excellent in-person and on the phone communication skills
- Ability to capture and recall details (customer names, tire specifications, part numbers etc.)
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite & Costar
- Valid driver’s license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $42,000.00-$54,500.00 per year
