We are currently looking to add an experienced Lead Carpenter / Window & Door Technician to our Halifax team. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands the importance of proper installation practices, and is comfortable leading a small crew of one to two team members.

Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Apply general construction knowledge to ‘best practice’ installation and/or servicing of windows, doors, hardware, and specialty components – replacement and new-builds
- Ability to accurately measure openings and verify site conditions
- Proficient in flashing, waterproofing, air sealing, and insulation techniques
- Fit and install trim, mouldings, and related materials
- Interior trim installation and finishing work
- Read and interpret shop drawings, construction plans, instructions etc to get the job done right
- Coordinate effectively with other trades on site
- Communicate and collaborate with ownership and office staff
- Requisition materials and supplies as required
- Ensure all work meets our HIGH company quality standards and customer expectations
- Maintain and manage company-issued assets, including vehicles, tools, phones, and tablets
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Keep work areas clean and organized at all times
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Identify and report safety concerns to management promptly
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 yrs general construction knowledge, particularly in residential projects - including the ‘best practice’ installation and/or servicing of windows, doors, hardware, and specialty components – replacement and new-builds
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively with the team and with our customers
- Comfort being on-site customer contact
- Positive attitude and absolute commitment to customer satisfaction
- Must have driver’s license with a clean record
- Must be willing to travel to job sites across Nova Scotia, which may occasionally require overnight stays
