Earl's Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Bookkeeper to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank deposits
- Handle bank reconciliations, financial statements, filing, mailing, and payment processing
- Assist with mid-month and month-end billing for nursing homes and care home patient statements
- Set up payment options and provide customer service for accounts, including notifying customers and the manager about delinquent accounts
- Process payments, respond to customer inquiries, and manage the till and float
- Order and track office supplies, maintain filing tasks (including prescription filing), and manage general office duties
- Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and through correspondence while supporting the Store Operator, Pharmacist, and central fill operations
Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping or general accounting experience is required.
- This entry-level role is ideally suited for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet, and email
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Professional attitude, grooming, and customer service skills
- Strong initiative, prioritization, and the ability to take direction
- Criminal Record Check required
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week.
- The usual shifts will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
