Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health and Safety Technician to join our team in. In this role, you will help ensure a safe working environment that aligns with our commitment to quality and community. Your contributions will support our mission of maintaining a safe, efficient bakery operation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies tailored to bakery operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of manufacturing areas to identify hazards.
- Provide training sessions on safety procedures and best practices for staff.
- Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Maintain safety documentation and records diligently.
- Collaborate with management to promote a safety-first culture within the bakery.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in occupational health and safety, preferably within food manufacturing or bakery environments.
- Strong knowledge of local health and safety regulations in Canada.
- Excellent communication skills for training staff effectively.
- Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and investigations.
- Certification in occupational health and safety is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proactive attitude towards maintaining a safe workplace.
