This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled Full Stack Software Developer to join a collaborative technology team responsible for enhancing and transforming critical internal business applications. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale modernization initiative while contributing to the ongoing evolution of enterprise systems used across the organization. As part of the Systems Engineering team, you will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to development, testing, deployment, and production support.
A major focus of this role will be the redevelopment of a legacy enterprise application into a modern, scalable platform utilizing current technologies and development practices. In parallel, you will support enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance activities across a portfolio of internal applications. It is a long-term contract position with a competitive pay range.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy modern full-stack web applications.
- Participate in the complete redevelopment of a legacy application into a contemporary architecture built with Angular, Java, and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze challenges, and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Support existing enterprise applications while modernization initiatives are underway.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Produce technical documentation, deployment procedures, test plans, and implementation estimates.
- Contribute to system enhancements, technology upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with end users to understand business needs and provide ongoing application support.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience building and delivering new applications from concept through production deployment.
- Advanced development experience with Java (v.21) with strong expertise with Spring Framework.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
- Hands-on experience developing responsive web applications using Angular (v.17).
- Experience designing, querying, and optimizing relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker) and CI/CD implementation and automation (Jenkins).
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
