The Food & Beverage Server provides friendly, professional service to guests throughout KLLP's food and beverage operations, including breakfast and lunch in the restaurant, dinner service in the pub, and meetings, banquets, catering, and special events in the Event Centre. This position helps create a welcoming atmosphere by delivering excellent service, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and working as part of a team to provide an outstanding guest experience.
Duties involving the sale or service of alcoholic beverages will be assigned in accordance with BC liquor legislation and company policy.
Core Responsibilities
Guest Service
● Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
● Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
● Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
● Recommend menu items, daily features, beverages, and promotions.
● Check on guests throughout their visit and respond quickly to requests or concerns.
● Present bills and process payments accurately.
Restaurant, Pub & Event Service
● Provide service in the restaurant, pub, meetings, banquets, catering, and special events.
● Set up and take down dining and event spaces.
● Deliver plated meals, buffet service, and beverages.
● Reset tables and prepare service areas for the next guests.
Operations
● Complete opening, side work, and closing duties.
● Keep dining rooms, service stations, and storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
● Polish glassware, cutlery, and service equipment.
● Restock supplies and report inventory or maintenance needs.

● Take initiative to keep work areas clean, organized, and guest-ready.
Teamwork & Safety
● Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and coworkers to provide efficient service.
● Help other team members during busy periods.
● Follow Food Safe, Serving It Right (where applicable), company policies, and health and safety procedures.
● Report hazards, guest incidents, equipment problems, and maintenance concerns.
● Attend training and team meetings.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
● High School Diploma or currently attending High School is an asset.
● Previous restaurant, hotel, pub, banquet, or customer service experience is an asset.
● Previous cash handling and POS experience is an asset.
● Serving It Right Certification is required before performing duties involving the sale or service of alcoholic beverages.
● Food Safe Level 1 Certification is an asset and may be required after hire.
● Friendly, outgoing, dependable, and professional.
● Strong communication and teamwork skills.
● Able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
● Able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
● Able to work in the restaurant, pub, and Event Centre.
● Stand and walk for extended periods.
● Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
● Bend, reach, twist, and move safely throughout the work area.
● Carry food, beverages, and serving trays safely.
● Work efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Pay: $18.65 per hour
