Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician, either Journeyman or Senior Apprentice, to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. Duties
- Perform diagnostic assessments of residential HVAC systems to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and replace HVAC components such as thermostats, compressors, fans, and ductwork.
- Conduct routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Install new HVAC units following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot plumbing, appliance repair, and mechanical issues related to HVAC systems when necessary.
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with clients regarding work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all work complies with local codes and regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC systems, plumbing, welding, boilers, and appliance repair.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting and installation purposes.
- Construction experience or background in maintenance mechanics is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and boiler systems enhances versatility in handling complex repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members professionally.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in residential environments. This position requires a valid driver’s license, relevant certifications or licenses for HVAC work (Journeyman or Senior Apprentice level), and the willingness to continually update skills through ongoing training. Candidates should be committed to delivering high-quality service while maintaining safety standards at all times.
Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
