TacoTaco in Kensington Market is a brand-new fast casual restaurant specializing in California-style tacos and burritos, with vegan and unique options, craft beer, cocktails, and a cozy sun-lit patio. We’re looking for energetic and reliable team members to deliver great service and keep the good vibes flowing.
Position: Server/Bartender
As part of our front-of-house team, you will:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, professional attitude;
- Take orders, serve food, and deliver an excellent guest experience;
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (cocktails, beer, wine);
- Manage tabs, process payments, and handle cash accurately;
- Keep the bar and service areas clean, stocked, and organized;
- Address guest questions and concerns promptly and respectfully;
- Assist with closing duties to ensure the venue is ready for the next service.
Qualifications:
- Previous hospitality or bartending/server experience required;
- Smart Serve certification required (or willingness to obtain before starting);
- Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset;
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and basic math skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing/walking for long periods;
- Positive attitude and a team-first mentality.
Job Details:
- Must be available Friday and Saturday nights until 3am (late closing shifts).
- Hours per week: 12–20 hours
- Job type: Temporary or permanent
- Wage: $17.75/hour (depending on experience) + tips averaging ~$10-15/hour
