We are seeking a dedicated MLEO-Parking Enforcement Officer to join our team. This role involves monitoring parking areas, ensuring compliance with parking regulations, and maintaining order within designated zones. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to enforce parking policies effectively. This position offers an opportunity to serve the community while developing valuable skills in enforcement and public interaction.
Responsibilities
- Monitor designated parking areas to ensure vehicles are parked in accordance with local regulations
- Issue citations or warnings to vehicles violating parking rules
- Assist the public with questions regarding parking regulations and directions
- Record and report daily activities and enforcement actions accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other city departments as needed
- Maintain a professional presence while enforcing parking policies in a courteous manner
- Ensure safety protocols are followed in all interactions and during patrols
Skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the public and team members
- Ability to clearly explain parking regulations and procedures
- Strong attention to detail for accurate citation issuance and record keeping
- Professional demeanor with a focus on customer service
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in outdoor environments
- Basic knowledge of local parking ordinances (nice-to-have) but training will be provided
