We are seeking an experienced Paving Crew Member to join our team for the upcoming season. This hands-on position involves raking asphalt, assisting with paving operations, and completing patch repairs across multiple job sites. The ideal candidate is physically capable, safety‑focused, and eager to contribute to high‑quality construction and maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities
- Rake and level asphalt during paving operations
- Assist with asphalt placement and finishing
- Perform asphalt patch repairs on damaged pavement
- Support asphalt sealing operations as needed
- Prepare and clean work sites, including sweeping and surface prep
- Assist screed, roller, and skid steer operators
- Use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and lutes
- Load and unload materials
- Compact asphalt using rollers or tampers
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site
- Follow all safety procedures
- Perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
Requirements
- Experience in asphalt paving, patching, or sealing (preferred)
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment and hot asphalt
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a crew
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
