Overhead Door co. of Edmonton is currently looking for a full time and permanent Lead Technician/Electricians for our Commercial Service department. If you are a mechanically inclined Electrician looking to venture into the world of Overhead doors, this maybe the job for you!
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrical certificate
- 2+ years’ experience working in a commercial or industrial environment
- 2+ years' experience working on overhead doors considered an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
- Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
- Works well within a team
- Ability to work overtime including some weekends
- Ability to be on-call on a rotation
- Must have a full complement of personal/professional hand tools identified. Specialty tools will be provided when required.
Requirements (mandatory unless otherwise noted):
- Valid driver license
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Clean drivers abstract
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Able to work safely and follow any and all safety rules at client sites
- Ability to work at heights
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- WHMIS, Fall Protection, EWP tickets - preferred
- First aid, any other safety tickets – preferred

The successful candidates are expected to become proficient as both an Electrician and Door Technician while operating their own truck. As Overhead Door Co. of Edmonton provides 24/7 service, 365 days a year, participation in the on-call rotation is required.
