Job Summary
The EDM Operator, under the direction of the Machining Manager, will be responsible for programming and operating CNC Sinker EDM machines to build molds using 3D models. The EDM operator ensures first time quality is a priority while also staying on schedule for each job assigned. Signing bonus of $2500 after completion of 90 days and an additional $2500 after successful completion of 12 months of employment with NextGen Mold Technologies Windsor Inc.

Job Duties
- Daily, set up jobs, tool changers and program/operate EDM machines.
- Complete checklists and report deviations from specified tolerances.
- Responsible for maintaining safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.
- Daily, maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs.
- Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Three (3) years’ experience operating Sinker EDM (ONA/Makino EDM preferred).
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in time management and communication skills.
Work Conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts and precision tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
