Overview
We are seeking experienced AZ Truck Drivers to join our team for both local and long-distance routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for drivers with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and efficiency. The position involves operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various distances, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Candidates should possess a valid AZ license and have experience handling freight, heavy equipment, and potentially operating forklifts or performing basic automotive repairs. Competitive pay of $0.57 to $0.72 per mile is offered.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks for local and long-distance freight transportation.
- Load and unload freight, utilizing forklift skills when necessary.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and route adjustments.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety regulations during operations.
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance or automotive repairs as needed.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading processes.
Experience
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (AZ license) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including both local routes and long-haul trips.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and securing cargo.
- Experience operating forklift equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to trucking and freight transportation.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other routing tools efficiently.
- Prior experience in automotive repair or maintenance is beneficial but not mandatory.
