Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter / Site Safety - First Aid Attendant, where your skills will help build quality structures while ensuring a safe and secure work environment. This role combines hands-on carpentry expertise with vital safety responsibilities, including first aid response and site safety management. You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety compliance across our construction sites, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Your proactive approach will contribute to successful project completion and the well-being of all team members on site.
Duties
- Perform skilled carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, and installation work according to project specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the site to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Serve as the designated First Aid Attendant, providing immediate assistance for injuries or medical emergencies on site.
- Assist in implementing site safety plans, including hazard communication, signage, and personal protective equipment (PPE) enforcement.
- Collaborate with construction management to ensure compliance with safety regulations and construction management software documentation.
- Support team members with safety training and promote awareness of safe work practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry or related trades.
- Prior experience in construction site safety or as a First Aid Attendant is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards or relevant local safety regulations.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations with certified first aid skills.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, supervisors, and emergency responders.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through proactive hazard identification and resolution.

Pay: $30.00-$39.00 per hour
