We’re looking for an experienced Crew Lead to join our team. Applicants with horticulture or landscaping education—or ambitious learners eager to grow in the landscape industry—are strongly encouraged to apply. As we continue to grow, so do our opportunities.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Some flexibility for the right candidate (e.g. 4 x 10s)
- Start and finish each day in the Hillside–Quadra area
- Work sites across Victoria neighbourhoods
What You’ll Do
- Lead a small crew while driving a new electric truck (trailer experience an asset but not mandatory)
- Work hands-on “on the tools” alongside your crew
- Perform new-hire safety demos and lead ongoing safety talks
- Hedge trimming (up to 12’) — comfortable working on ladders
- Assist with mowing, trimming, edging, and garden maintenance
- Apply horticulture best practices to pruning and plant care
- Rake, weed, blow, and tidy garden beds and yard areas
- Load and unload tools, batteries, and debris at each stop
- Maintain a clean, professional worksite — every visit counts
What We’re Looking For
- Positive attitude, reliability, and leadership experience
- Minimum 2 years in landscaping, lawn care, or a related role
- Horticulture education or certification is a strong asset
(recent grads welcome)
- Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay active all day
(20,000+ steps is common)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract required
- We have 2 truck only setups as well as a truck and trailer. Experience towing a trailer an asset
- Criminal record check required for this position
Pay & Certifications
- $28–$35/hr, depending on experience (+Performance Bonuses, Profit Sharing and Training Pay)
- Additional pay available for relevant certifications, including:
- Horticulture Diploma or Certificate
- Red Seal Landscape Horticulturist
- IPM Certification
- Arborist or related plant-care training
- Performance bonuses available
