Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. This role requires a strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in dealership settings, automotive repair, or with power tools is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply primer, paint, stain, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Inspect finished work for quality and consistency, making touch-ups as needed
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times
- Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colors and finishes
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and proper storage of tools and materials
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and specifications
- Assist with minor repairs or touch-ups related to automotive or mechanical components when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a painter, preferably with dealership or automotive repair background
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting and working around vehicles or machinery
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Prior experience with automotive painting or mechanic experience is a plus
