We’re looking for a full-time/part-time Security Alarm Service Technician with experience in the electronic security industry to be a service expert for maintenance of medium to large scale CCTV (IP and Analog), access control, intrusion, automation systems, intercom, and entry phone systems, all the while maintaining professional & positive customer relations.
Typical work scenarios are as follows (but not limited to):
Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring
Run/Fish Cabling
Service, install, troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance and inspections on Alarm panels such as DSC & Honeywell products (programming)
Capable of Working on customers networks in conjunction with their IT personnel.
Testing and commissioning of systems.
Service, Installation and programming of Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems.
Training of the end user on respective installed systems.
Such other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
Requirements:
High school diploma - Electronic Technician Certificate
Installation or service field work: 2+ years (desired)
Basic hand tools
Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence/Driver’s Abstract - G
Police Clearance
Must be computer literate, have networking ability and good knowledge of Computer operating systems
Mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools
Fluent English language written and verbal skills, demonstrated superior people and telephone skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential
The ability to meet deadlines and commitments and to adjust/adapt to new ideas and procedures is necessary
Fall prevention/working at heights, aerial lift certificate (an asset)
First/Aid CPR (as asset but not required)
Must be bondable
