Role Summary:
Our Barrie Branch location is looking for experienced Sales Representatives to join the Fire Sprinkler Small Contract and Service team and Large Contract team. The main duties of this role are to sell new system installations, system modifications and upgrades, and sprinkler service work. The target market are customers in the commercial, industrial, hospitality and healthcare industries.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Focus on sales within an assigned geographic territory and/or assigned customer accounts
- Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and qualified potential customers for service agreement, system modifications, and upgrades by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads and outlined marketing strategies.
- Perform job setup, identify, and order materials needed for jobs, and coordinate with the Service Manager to schedule work,
- Contact prospective and qualified potential buyers of new commercial fire sprinkler systems and associated equipment.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and develop customized solutions to address deficiencies and ensure compliance.
- Create proposals for clients and perform follow-up on proposals.
- Maintain high level of client service and quality of work.
- Other duties as required.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Three - Five years plus sales experience in the fire protection industry.
- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or Sales or equivalent education and experience OR a graduate of a technical college
- Proven track record of success in sales, with a focus on fire protection or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of fire codes, regulations, and standards (NFPA, IFC, etc.).
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex fire protection concepts and solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and positive attitude.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to achieving targets.
- Strong knowledge of computer based applications (Microsoft Office Suite etc.)
- Must have a valid driver’s license

Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- Ontario “G” drivers’ license in good standing
- Relevant experience, preferably in the life safety industry
- Strong knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Office Suite etc.)

The base salary range for this role is: $70,000 to $95,000 per year depending on experience - additional incentive program
