Journeyman CNC setup Machinist/Milling/Programmer

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setup Milling Operator / Programmer to join our team in Edmonton. The ideal candidate is a Journeyman Machinist with a minimum of 4 years of CNC machining experience, strong programming abilities, and the confidence to work independently while supporting the rest of the machining team.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality work, can work independently, and is willing to support the rest of the team when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Journeyman Machinist certification required
- Minimum 4 years of CNC milling experience
- Strong CNC programming and setup skills
- Strong experience with Haas CNC machines
- Experience with Okuma and Mazak machines is an asset
- Ability to work independently from setup through production
- Willingness to assist and support other operators as needed
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Committed to producing quality work with strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines
- Optimize programs for efficiency, accuracy, and quality
- Complete jobs independently from setup to finished part
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
- Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Assist other machinists and operators to keep production running efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
