Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Support pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs
- Process prescriptions accurately and ensure all necessary information is complete
- Assist in answering phone calls, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel
- Provide quality customer service to patients by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Help maintain a clean and organized workspace
Skills
-MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE USING KROLL SOFTWARE!
- Proficiency in medication administration procedures
- Knowledge of pharmacy technician duties
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient care
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
