Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist to join our Barbershop team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with office software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience in a barbershop. You must have reliable transportation or car preferred. Please only apply if you are within the range of 10-15 minutes away.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and clients promptly and courteously at the front desk
- Answer multi-line phone systems and direct calls appropriately using excellent phone etiquette
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or specialized software such as QuickBooks or dental management systems
- Perform data entry tasks accurately, including updating patient or client records and filing documents systematically
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and correspondence
- Maintain organized files and records, ensuring confidentiality and easy retrieval of information
- Assist with administrative duties such as proofreading documents, managing calendars, and supporting office operations
- Support bookkeeping activities including basic data entry related to billing or payments when applicable
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Hot towels, laundry, serve coffee
Experience
- Prior experience preferred, especially in office environments such as a barbershop.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and data entry procedures
- Experience handling multi-line phone systems and customer service interactions essential
- Cash handling
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or bookkeeping is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in proofreading and filing tasks
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation
