Position Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key finance partner supporting the premium commodities business. This role is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, operations, and supply chain teams.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Consolidate and analyze financial results for the Food Ingredients and Export Commodities divisions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and transparency.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports on food ingredients business, including margin and profitability analysis at product, customer, and channel levels.
- Track and report on value-added metrics, such as product mix, yield variances, cost-to-serve, and customer profitability.
- Develop and maintain regular reporting packages and dashboards for business leaders, highlighting key trends and opportunities.
- Support commercial leadership with financial insights to guide pricing, trade spend, and promotional strategies.
Accounting & Month-End Close
- Support the month-end close, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, revenue recognition, and cost allocations.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of key accounts, including inventory, COGS, promotional spend, rebates, and trade deductions.
- Ensure accurate capture of processing and packaging costs into financial statements.
- Partner with accounting and operations to ensure alignment of cost flows, standard costing, and variance explanations.
- Provide documentation and reconciliations for audit and compliance requirements.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for the Food Ingredients business, building assumptions around sales volumes, product mix, pricing, and processing costs.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to forecast sales at the channel and customer level, reflecting seasonal patterns, demand drivers, and promotions.
- Track budget vs. actual performance and provide actionable variance explanations.
Commercial & Operational Support
- Serve as the finance business partner to commercial and operations teams, translating operational performance into financial insights.
- Monitor processing yields, production costs, and overhead absorption, providing insights into efficiency improvements.
- Support commercial strategy by analyzing trade spend, promotional effectiveness, customer profitability, and product innovation ROI.
- Provide decision support for capital investment proposals, new packaging formats, and retail product expansion.
- Build, improve, and automate reporting tools and dashboards for sales, margin, and operational KPIs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA designation or in progress strongly preferred).
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with exposure to food processing, consumer goods, or premium commodities businesses.
- Strong background in financial reporting, product costing, and margin analysis.
- Experience supporting commercial teams with pricing, trade spend, and customer profitability analysis is highly desirable.

- Excellent communication skills to partner effectively with commercial, operational, and supply chain stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-support skills, with the ability to connect financial insights to business strategies.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $72,784.05-$95,930.04 per year
