About the Role
In this position, you will provide security coverage at various client locations to ensure uninterrupted security operations. You will patrol assigned areas, monitor security systems, respond to emergencies, enforce site regulations, and maintain detailed records of security-related activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Patrolling assigned areas to detect and deter suspicious activity.
- Monitoring security cameras, alarms, and other security systems.
- Responding promptly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
- Securing facilities by ensuring doors, gates, and access points remain protected.
- Reporting security incidents, accidents, hazards, and disturbances.
- Enforcing site-specific security procedures and protocols.
- Assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with information and directions.
- Completing accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
- Supporting multiple sites as operational requirements dictate.

What You Bring
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Drivers License, Class 5
- Military, RCMP, or security experience considered an asset-
- Strong verbal, written, and reading comprehension skills in English
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn security technology and communication devices
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
- Exceptional attention to detail and report-writing abilities
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to conduct regular patrols throughout assigned properties
- Ability to climb or descend stairs as required
- Ability to work effectively indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and security incidents
Working Conditions
- Sat & Sun 23:00 - 07:00
- Rotating days, nights, weekends, and holiday coverage as required
- Indoor and outdoor work environments, including exposure to inclement weather
- Frequent movement between different client sites and assignments
- Use of radios, surveillance systems, computers, and other security equipment
