SENIOR INSTALLER
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Installer installs glass and shelving products at various residential and commercial sites while directing, training, and overseeing a Junior Installer. This position is responsible for driving and overall upkeep of the company vehicle, loading/unloading of products, installation of complex jobs, and ensuring that the product is installed to a high quality and customer service standard resulting in minimal service issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safe handling and transport of product

Complete booked installation demands in a time sensitive environment

Minimize service issues

Clean and quality installation of wood and wire products

Onsite communication as required per job

Clean and quality installation of glass and mirror products

Perform service and warranty work on past installs

Keep vehicles clean
-
Daily and monthly inspections of the company vehicle

Reporting required service of the company vehicle

Train junior to install basic jobs and on safety standards

Complete paperwork
-
Helps to measure sites for future product installation

Out of town work from time to time

Be accessible via a mobile device during business hours
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Positive attitude

Strong customer service orientation

Min. 6 months of installation experience

Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance

Flexibility – Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, hectic work environment

Awareness of safe lifting techniques

Reliability through strong attendance records
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Valid Driver’s License (Clean abstract, Non-GDL Preferred)

Emergency First Aid (training can be provided on the job)
-
CSTS (training can be provided on the job)
-
WHMIS (training provided on the job)
-
Leadership for Safety Excellence (ACSA Course)
BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Desire to learn new tasks

Strong knowledge of glass and mirror products

Eye for quality and detail

Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
PHYSICAL CHALLENGES

Must have the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs (80-100lbs for 10mm glass installers)

Must be able to lift and carry large mirrors into homes
-
Must be able to bend forward while carrying weight
