ITS Electronics, a leading provider of Satellite Communication (Satcom) equipment is looking for a Mechanical Engineer. ITS Electronics provides Frequency Converters (BUC and BDC), High Power Amplifiers (HPA), Transceivers, and Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA) for both commercial and aerospace use. This Engineering position will design and package RF and DC components in enclosures for ITS Electronics Satcom equipment and system solutions for both ground based and airborne platforms. The successful applicant will be an organized, self-motivated individual. A proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Design, produce mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, parts lists and manufacturing/integration instructions
- Maintain, support, and improve existing products
- Work with RF, DC and software engineers
- Work with the in-house production and testing department
- Create and manage all mechanical designs and manufacturing documentations for various products
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada region
- Sc. Mechanical Engineering degree
- 5+ years experience in product design
- Experience and knowledge of 3D CAD software
- Able to understand detail drawings
- Conduct thermal analysis for product cooling
- Good English written and verbal communication skills, expected to interact with other engineers, suppliers and customers
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Must be eligible for Control Goods Program (CGP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor
- Familiar with AutoCad
- Experience with fluid analysis
- Experience with thermal design for airborne systems (DO160 experience)
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Good knowledge of CNC machine capability
- Knowledge of RF and microwave communication concepts
- Basic hand tools hands-on experience
