Performance Testing Specialist
Long Term contract
Toronto, ON-Hybrid
Role Descriptions:
- The Performance Testing Specialist will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and analyzing performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for enterprise applications.
- The role involves working closely with development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams to validate system performance against defined SLAs and nonfunctional requirements.
- The specialist will identify performance bottlenecks, analyze test results, provide actionable recommendations, and support performance tuning across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
- The role also includes preparing test plans, scripts, reports, and dashboards, and ensuring performance testing is embedded into CI/CD pipelines.
Top 3 Required Skills:
1. Strong experience in performance testing with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
2. Hands on experience in performance test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting
3. Solid understanding of application architecture, performance metrics, and bottleneck analysis
Top 3 Preferred Skills:
1. Experience testing cloud based and distributed applications (AWS/Azure/GCP)
2. Familiarity with CI/CD integration and performance testing in Agile/DevOps environments
3. Knowledge of monitoring and profiling tools (APM, logs, system metrics, database performance)
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
