Bristol Coachworks is based in Ingersoll, ON and we are looking to add talented and motivated members to our dynamic TEAM environment. Our clean & modern facility specializes in the design and manufacturing of luxury shuttle buses based off the Ford E-450 cutaway chassis. Our dynamic environment includes a custom assembly area, woodworking shop, welding shop, CNC capabilities, and body shop complete with a 55ft paint booth. Candidates must take extreme pride in the quality of their work, cleanliness of their work environment and must work well in a team environment.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team focused on shuttle bus structure production. This position involves fabricating, assembling, and welding components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly, contributing to the creation of durable and high-quality bus structures. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding on structural components of shuttle buses, ensuring compliance with engineering schematics and schematics.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble parts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal components.
- Execute rigging tasks for lifting and positioning heavy parts using cranes or forklifts safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, and construction activities.
- Collaborate with team members on projects involving construction experience or manufacturing processes to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and working with hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in blueprint reading, schematics, calipers, and basic math skills.
- Experience with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding, machining, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
