About the Role
Chief Medical is a growing Canadian healthcare company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment, while developing skills in costing, financial reporting, and data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with senior team members and gain exposure to real business operations that impact both internal strategy and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations)
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports
- Help maintain and update costing data and inventory records
- Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of customer-specific KPIs and performance reports
- Analyze operational and financial data to generate insights that support customer and business decision-making
- Prepare regular performance metrics for internal teams and customer reporting
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and finance to ensure accuracy and relevance of KPI data
- Support tracking of service levels, pricing, and operational performance trends
- Support ERP system data entry and accuracy
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes
- Identify and support improvements in accounting processes
- Provide general support to the finance team as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- 1–2 years of accounting experience (co-op or internship experience considered)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Working toward a CPA designation (preferred but not required)
Technical Skills
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Exposure to ERP systems is an asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
