Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CCTV Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security camera systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in electrical systems, computer hardware, and networking, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving low voltage systems, telecommunication, sensors, and IDS technology, ensuring the safety and security of our clients' facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure CCTV camera systems in accordance with project specifications and schematics
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate system placement and integration
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on existing CCTV systems and related hardware
- Work with computer networking components to ensure seamless integration of surveillance systems with network infrastructure
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for installation tasks involving electrical wiring and mechanical components
- Install sensors, IDS devices, and telecommunication equipment as part of integrated security solutions
- Conduct system testing to verify proper operation and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to coordinate system installation timelines
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, schematics, and service reports
Qualifications
- Proven experience with CCTV installation and maintenance in commercial or industrial settings
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans
- Knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and telecommunication systems
- Electrical experience with low voltage wiring and power tools operation
- Familiarity with sensors, IDS technology, and security system integration
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment mounting and structural considerations
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Experience working with schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
