About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Operator to join our client's manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble transformer core components while ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and productivity. Shift Timings:
Biweekly rotational shifts- Days - 7 am to 3 pm and Afternoon - 3 pm to 11 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble transformer core components according to work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Stack, align, and interleave steel laminations to ensure accurate core construction.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process and report any defects or non-conformances.
- Operate lifting equipment, hoists, and core stacking tables safely.
- Complete production documentation accurately and maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards.
- Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and material handling teams to achieve daily production targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of manufacturing or production experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring tools.
- Forklift and overhead crane certification is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment.
- Continental rotating shifts.
- Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and prolonged standing required.
- PPE must be worn at all times while working on the production floor.
