Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using standard recipes and equipment
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders efficiently while providing friendly service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and balance cash register at the end of each shift
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Follow food safety guidelines during food handling and preparation
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in serving food items and managing customer requests promptly
- Ensure adherence to health regulations and safety standards at all times
Skills
- Previous Barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and managing register totals
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks accurately and quickly
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
