Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and scheduled component replacement.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues and restore machinery to minimize production downtime.
- Monitor, calibrate, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair history, and parts inventory using a CMMS.
- Coordinate with production teams to prioritize maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), WHMIS, and company safety policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical or electrical certification is an asset.
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work day, evening, night, or weekend shifts as required.
Hourly wage will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and is negotiable for the right candidate.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
