Job Description:
We’re looking for skilled and reliable Prep Cooks to join our back-of-house team. This role is essential to the smooth execution of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in vegetable prep, protein prep, and portioning, and will take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, consistency, and organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Vegetable Prep: Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables and herbs to exact specifications. Maintain freshness and quality throughout shifts.

Protein Prep: Trim, marinate, and portion meats, poultry, and seafood following food safety standards and chef direction.

Portion Prep: Weigh, label, and organize ingredients and prepped items for efficient line use and service.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all prep areas according to Alberta Health Services standards.

Assist with receiving and proper storage of deliveries.

Collaborate closely with line cooks and sous chefs to ensure prep aligns with menu needs.

Follow all kitchen procedures and help minimize food waste.
Qualifications:

Previous prep or kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train motivated individuals.

Strong knife skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Reliable, punctual, and committed to kitchen professionalism.

Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain).

Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
