Job Summary
We are a privately owned veterinary clinic. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary care, animal handling, and a passion for providing high-quality medical support to animals. This role involves working closely with veterinarians and other staff to ensure the health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
- Perform blood / urine collection with routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide proper animal restraint and handling during procedures to ensure safety for both the animal and staff.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Assist in Anesthesia, IV catheter placement, intubation and monitoring
- Participate in dental COHAT and dental radiology
- Assist in kennel duties, ensuring proper care and comfort for all animals in the facility.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary technician experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and critical care.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating compassion for animals.
