Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Serve nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Provide compassionate patient care by engaging in meaningful conversations and offering emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping in emergency situations tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Help with mobility and transfer techniques using proper lifting methods to ensure safety for both clients and staff
- Document care provided accurately in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to supervising staff promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with dementia care needs
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and caregiving best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills combined with a caring attitude and patience
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
