Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes. Duties
- Safely operate AZ licensed commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle operation
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Skills
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery is preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting on trucks and related equipment
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatchers, clients, and team members
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or related fields is highly desirable
- Be able to mange refer trailers
