Scaffolding Delivery Driver
Location: 2177 Springfield Road
Reports To: Yard Manager
Wage Range: $20-$25
Role Overview
This is a dual-role position requiring safe fleet operation and active participation in manual loading and unloading. You are a critical link in ensuring field crews have the equipment they need to build safely. Unlike traditional driving roles, this position involves general labor, moving heavy items and helping in the yard.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport & Delivery: Safely operate company vehicles (such as Ford F-150, F-550 or 5-tonne units) to transport scaffolding tubes, planks, and frames to various sites.
- Load Security: Ensure all loads are properly strapped, balanced, and secured according to transport regulations before departing the terminal.
- Manual Labor: Actively participate in the heavy manual loading and unloading of equipment; this role is not just "sitting in a truck all day".
- Compliance & Safety: Conduct required Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections.
- Fleet Maintenance: Submit all fuel receipts to the administrative assistant within 24 hours of purchase.
Mandatory Requirements
- Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean 3-year commercial abstract.
- Physicality: Ability to consistently lift and carry heavy materials throughout the day.
- Safety Training: Participation in orientation on Manitoba’s Highway Traffic Act and National Safety Code (NSC) standards.
- Character: Professional attitude; we hire for character and being a "decent human being" over pure skill.
