Primary Duties:
- Provides consultation, analysis, evaluation and review of problems regarding methods and equipment, material handling, layout and material flow.
- Provides alternative solutions to anticipated or actual technical related manufacturing problems.
- Provides specification for new equipment.
- Generates time studies, charts and reports
- Evaluates and implements projects that reduce cost, increase value and/or improves quality.
- Works with health and safety to design process safeguards and improve team member safety.
- Responsible for training on the process changes.
- Provides assistance in trouble shooting equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production.
- Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles and Minimum Controls.
- Support all new model launch, PFMEA, Control Plan, and TS requirements
- Adherence to the NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its’ Values and Principles
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical or Electrical
- 5 to 7 Experience working in a manufacturing environment, automotive experience is an asset
- Interpersonal, verbal and writing skills are necessary
Qualifications Desired:
- Previous Glass experience
