Position Summary
Papa's Herb is seeking a results-driven Territory Manager to oversee and grow sales within an assigned geographic territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships with retail partners, identifying new business opportunities, increasing brand presence, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills who thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective retail partners.
- Manage relationship with Distributors.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to retail locations to support account growth and brand visibility.
- Negotiate product placements, promotions, and merchandising opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for retail partners within the assigned territory.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and service.
- Resolve customer concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer support.
Territory Operations
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities within CRM systems.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory updates.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with retail partners to maximize product availability.
- Ensure all merchandising and promotional materials are properly displayed and maintained.
Brand Representation
- Represent Papa's Herb professionally at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Educate retail partners on products, promotions, and brand initiatives.
- Act as a brand ambassador by promoting company values and maintaining positive business relationships.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in territory sales, account management, business development, or a related field.
- Experience working with retail accounts, consumer packaged goods (CPG), food and beverage, cannabis, franchising, or related industries is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM platforms.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel within the assigned territory.
- Combination of field-based work, customer visits, and remote/home office work.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for trade shows, customer events, and business needs.
