Job Overview
We are an established architectural drafting and design firm in Windermere, Edmonton, seeking a Senior Architectural Draftsperson / Architectural Technician to join our team. This role is focused on residential design and construction drawing production in a fast-paced, professional environment.
This is an in-office position only. Reliable transportation and daily commute to Windermere is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and residential/commercial projects
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Review architectural and engineering drawings for compliance with Alberta building codes and industry standards
- Collaborate with architects, draftspersons, consultants, and project consultants
- Provide technical support to clients and contractors throughout design and construction phases
- Conduct site reviews and assist with contract administration as required
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with APEGA
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, RISA, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Alberta/Canadian building codes and structural design standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Beneficial:

Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
