Filipino Restaurant …We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. The Assistant Store Manager will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily activities, manage staff, and maintain store standards.
Duties
- Assist in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members to ensure a high-performing staff
- Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and time management to optimize staffing levels
- Oversee merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory management
- Handle customer service issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Assist with purchasing decisions and vendor relations to maintain stock levels
- Supervise cashiering activities, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and bookkeeping
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote store sales and brand visibility
- Maintain organizational standards by ensuring cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper store presentation
- Support budgeting processes and sales management strategies to meet store goals
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and professional conduct
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience in merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques
- Ability to recruit, train, and develop team members through effective coaching and supervision
- Skilled in negotiation, marketing strategies, and customer service excellence
- Knowledge of administrative tasks including payroll processing, budgeting, and recordkeeping
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to handle phone etiquette professionally and communicate clearly with customers and staff alike
