Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Gardener to maintain and enhance the beauty of outdoor landscapes. This role involves grass cutting, working with various gardening tools and techniques to ensure healthy, vibrant, and well-manicured gardens and landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants to promote healthy growth
- Operating hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes for planting and maintenance tasks
- Using power tools like lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters to shape and maintain landscapes
- Performing landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, mulching, and weed control
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across landscapes
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate treatment or reporting
- Assisting with seasonal clean-up activities such as leaf removal and debris clearing
- Ensuring all work areas are safe, clean, and organized after completing tasks
Requirements
- Prior experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape irrigation practices is a plus
- Strong understanding of plant care, pruning techniques, and soil management
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy equipment or materials as needed
- Reliable transportation to travel between job sites if required
