Job Summary & Responsibilities:
The Industrial Painter (Structural Steel / Pipe) works as part of a ANJ's production team of 40+ employees and reports directly to the Shop Foreman / Coating Manager. This role involves a rotating morning and afternoon shift schedule and requires experience in a fast-paced, industrial coating and fabrication environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with abrasive blasting, airless and conventional spray painting, and material handling of structural steel and piping components. The successful candidate is responsible for applying industrial coatings in accordance with job specifications while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. Accurate daily clocking in and out of projects is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform abrasive blasting to required surface preparation standards
- Apply industrial coatings using airless and conventional spray equipment
- Paint structural steel and pipe in accordance with project specifications and coating procedures
- Handle and move materials safely using appropriate equipment
- Ensure proper mixing, handling, and application of coating materials
- Maintain cleanliness of spray booths, blasting areas, and tools
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental controls
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and works effectively in a team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Industrial Painter
- Proven experience in abrasive blasting and airless & conventional painting
- Knowledge of industrial coating processes and surface preparation methods
- Experience with material handling of steel components
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Willingness to work a rotating morning and afternoon shifts and overtime when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
