Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver and Kitchen Helper to join our team. This dual-role position involves delivering orders to customers efficiently while assisting in the kitchen with food preparation and clean-up. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be comfortable with moving heavy items, and have experience in warehouse or commercial driving environments. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including commercial trucks or vans, to transport food orders to customers promptly and accurately
- Assist in the kitchen with food preparation, packaging, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Load and unload supplies or equipment using appropriate moving techniques and tools such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed with professionalism, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules or issues
- Help with warehouse organization, including moving inventory and ensuring storage areas are tidy and accessible
- Follow safety protocols during all moving, driving, and kitchen activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, or food service is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus but not required; training may be provided
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- Valid driver’s license suitable for commercial driving; clean driving record preferred
- Experience with moving large or heavy items using proper techniques and equipment
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and delivery schedules
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
