Payroll Analyst:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Payroll Analyst for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Payroll Analyst - Job Description:
The Senior Payroll Analyst will support and guide Payroll Analysts on bi-weekly payroll processes and audits, manage complex employee inquiries, and identify process gaps for improvements. Additionally, the role involves assisting management with various projects, testing, KPI reporting, and preparing tax forms and other year-end accountabilities.
Payroll Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Process complex payroll activities in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide guidance and support to Payroll Analysts in completing payroll activities and audits
- Assist Payroll Management with investigating and resolving discrepancies/errors
- Assist with various payroll projects, testing, and ensuring efficiency within SAP
- Coordinate and process all payroll activities, ensuring integrity of payroll data
- Ensure business continuity and meet established SLAs
Payroll Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a high-volume complex payroll environment
- SAP Payroll experience
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
- Experience with Canadian Federal and Provincial Employment Standards legislation
- PCP or PLP Designation from the National Payroll Institute – Completed or in progress
Payroll Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Deep understanding of bank policies and procedures
- Strong knowledge of organizational structure and complexity
- Experience with transaction processing and data management
- Bilingual in French
Payroll Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension and conversion to FTE.
