Join Our Team as a Loader Operator in Calgary, AB
Your Mission:
As our Loader Operator, you'll load haulage vehicles, tunnels, storage bunkers, and processing equipment with loose waste. You'll operate mobile equipment, maintain process equipment, and perform safety checks, ensuring a smooth and safe operational environment.
Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:
- Create a safe work environment for our team, subcontractors, customers, and visitors by enforcing PPE, FRS, and RPE requirements.
- Operate all mobile equipment to maintain process equipment and facilities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Load haulage vehicles, tunnels, storage bunkers, and processing equipment with loose waste, playing a pivotal role in our waste management team.
- Perform cleaning and pre-use safety checks on plant items, promptly reporting any issues to maintain safety.
- Be a proactive safety ambassador by reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses according to company procedures.
- Demonstrate commitment to health and safety by comprehending and implementing company requirements.
- Engage in our team culture by attending daily and weekly operations and safety meetings and contributing insights and ideas.
This job is for you if you:
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the heavy equipment operations field.
- Have mechanical aptitude – it’s a strong fit, allowing you to complete daily inspections confidently.
- Are resourceful and capable of working alone and collaboratively within a team.
- Hold a valid Driver's License – it is a requirement.
Compensation package:
- Hourly Wage: $31.00 - 33.00
Schedule: 6:30am – 6:00pm, 5 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 5 days off
About the salary range: A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $31.00- $33.00 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
