Overview
We are seeking a skilled Veneer Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating veneer pressing equipment with precision and ensuring high-quality output. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to maintain efficient production standards. Duties
- Set-up and operate veneer press machines according to specifications
- Monitor and control machine settings to ensure product quality
- Load and align veneer sheets and core materials into the press
- Inspect finished panels for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Accurately complete production records and reports
Qualifications
- Previous experience in veneer pressing or wood manufacturing preferred but not required
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Good communication and teamwork skills
This role requires candidates to demonstrate mechanical aptitude, technical skills in machining and programming, and the ability to work safely within a manufacturing setting.
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
