We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Coordinate food service activities during meal periods, including serving and plating dishes efficiently
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and ensure adherence to company standards
- Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and innovation to enhance culinary offerings
- Monitor sanitation procedures and enforce health regulations across the kitchen team
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment, ideally as a Sous Chef or similar leadership role
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards
- Extensive restaurant management experience with knowledge of kitchen operations and team management
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Solid understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Prior restaurant experience is preferred; hands-on kitchen experience is essential
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and serving guests effectively
