Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming, with the ability to read blueprints and utilize CAD software. This role involves operating CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring precision in machining parts, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathe and milling machines to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and calipers for precise measurements and adjustments.
- Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles.
- Perform assembly tasks as required, ensuring all components meet quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CNC programming, particularly with Fanuc systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and CAD software for design interpretation.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills to understand technical specifications.
- Basic math skills for precise calculations in machining processes.
- Experience with machining techniques and principles related to CNC operations.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is advantageous.
