Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter / 3rd or 4th year apprentice with framing experience to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong foundation in carpentry and construction trades to further develop their skills through hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various construction techniques and tools, with a focus on delivering high-quality craftsmanship across diverse projects including restoration, framing, cabinetry, and more. This position is paid and designed for those eager to grow within the industry while contributing to challenging and rewarding projects.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, cabinetry installation, siding, roofing, and woodwork using hand tools and power tools.
- Execute flooring installation, tile laying, drywall setup, and finishing work including painting and caulking.
- Support plumbing and electrical installations as needed, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with construction estimating and project planning activities.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor safely to move materials or equipment around job sites.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects such as siding, roofing, restoration work, or handyman tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other construction equipment.
- Experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, Framing work is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Capable of heavy lifting and working on ladders or elevated platforms safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Prior handyman experience or experience with woodworking is a plus.
- Construction experience demonstrating versatility across multiple trades is highly desirable.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship throughout every project.
